Your plans stay private by design.
Tablekind is a household meal-planning app. It compares user-entered meal ingredients with food rules the user has saved. Tablekind does not diagnose, prescribe, or determine that a food or meal is medically safe.
Information stored on the device
Tablekind stores household member names, person-linked food rules, source text and documents, meal details, weekly plans, grocery information, notes, compatibility history, trial chronology, and purchase-entitlement state as needed to provide the app.
Person-linked rules, source documents, notes, and compatibility history are stored in protected local files. Tablekind requests complete file protection and excludes this sensitive storage from iCloud backup.
Optional CloudKit sharing
If the user enables household sharing, Tablekind uses the user's Apple iCloud account and CloudKit private/shared databases for a limited set of generic coordination data: household membership, curated generic meal and ingredient codes, weekly schedule entries, and grocery items.
Tablekind does not put household member names, person-linked rules, source documents, notes, compatibility results, or arbitrary custom meal text in its CloudKit records. Apple processes CloudKit data under the user's Apple account and Apple's privacy terms.
Encrypted transfer
A user may explicitly create an encrypted transfer package containing their Tablekind information. The package is encrypted before the system share sheet opens and requires a separately communicated transfer code to import. The user chooses where and how to send it. Tablekind does not automatically upload the package to a developer-operated service.
Purchases
Tablekind uses Apple's StoreKit to offer one monthly auto-renewable subscription with a two-week introductory free trial for eligible new subscribers. Apple processes payment and renewal information. Tablekind receives verified transaction and entitlement information needed to provide access; it does not receive full payment-card details.
Notifications
If the user grants permission, Tablekind can schedule local reminders for user-entered review dates. Visible notification text is generic and does not contain a person's name, food, rule, source, or medical information.
Analytics and third parties
Tablekind has no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. Product events are kept in a typed local diagnostic sink without meal text, rule text, person identifiers, source text, or raw dates. The app does not transmit those events to the developer.
Export, deletion, and retention
The user can prepare an encrypted export and can delete Tablekind's sensitive local planning data from within the app. Deletion retains only non-health trial chronology and verified-entitlement anti-reset information needed to enforce the trial and subscription honestly. Generic CloudKit deletion or revocation may remain queued if iCloud is temporarily unavailable, and the app reports that state instead of claiming completion.
User choices
Users can decline notifications and optional CloudKit sharing without losing local planning. They can review sources, export their information, delete local planning data, leave or revoke a generic household share, and manage iCloud or StoreKit through Apple system settings.
Children
Tablekind is intended for an adult household planner and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date and published policy will be updated before the changed data practice is released.
